ter months of planning, and numerous days of hard work by Linsen and Kobus, my new site was finally launched on Friday, 2 October 2009. This also means the end of this blog. Please redirect any RSS feeds or bookmarks to http://bravenboer.co.za
The great thing about the new site is that it does what i need it to do a lot better. Not only is it very pretty (even if i have to say so myself!), it showcases my work better and also allows for better client interaction. The site url is easier to remember, and it is lighter on bandwidth. We also managed to include one of the best portfolio sections I’ve seen around (design-wise), and I’m really proud of that. I’ll be updating that a lot this season.
All posts that were available on this site previously, will now also be available on the new site. There really is no reason to keep coming back to this address.
Thank you to every single person that helped me reach 23 832 hits. That might not seem major in blogger terms, but it might very well have been what convinced me to take all of this more seriously. As I’m typing this, inserting the tiny picture of me, I can’t help but to think of when this blog started.
For those of you that weren’t here from the beginning, it started pretty average. I used to ramble about this (like I’m doing now), and with most posts I’d add a picture that I’d found somewhere on the web that I liked. I never thought that I’d be able to take pictures that inspired others, the way those pictures inspired me. I truly found something that I love to do.
I thank you for that.
I thank everyone that believed in me from the start, and I hope that I will live up to your expectations.
I look forward to seeing you on the new domain!
Sincerely yours,
Bernard.
Dagbreek played Eendrag in the finals of the field hockey winter league here in Stellenbosch. I got these shots of the game:
I did some profile shots for the members of the local improv society here in Stellenbosch. I shot these in a hallway right outside the room where they meet.

I’ve been very absentminded about this project, but I finally got round to finishing everything and completing the video that I also shot while we were in Botswana. If you missed the photos, check them out here.
The video was shot with a terribly tiny and old video camera – that type that your grandmother used to shoot home movies with. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
